Refresher Training...

The People's Republic of Pittsburgh regrets to announce that the Admiral and his battle group will be earning some much needed sea pay for the next few days. Firefighting and damage control skills are getting rusty, and the junior officers need some experience with shiphandling and formation steaming. The battle group commander may be checking in from time to time through satellite uplink, and may even post a few things if the mood strikes him. But he makes no promises.

The Admiral anticipates his return to homeport on Sunday or Monday. Until then, he extends his fondest wishes for a fantastic weekend to you all.

Dude, you totally upbraided Apples over at 2PJS for not having read your own three-part series. I can only salute your conceitedness.

I'm really sorry if it came across as conceit. I didn't mean it like, "Hey, you freaking idiot, have you even bothered to read the best freaking thing every written about police secondary employment... because if you did, then you wouldn't be asking all of these stupid freaking questions. You jagoff.". Instead, I meant it more like, "Pardon me, kind reader. I hate to blow my own horn, old chap. But I also don't wish to belabor your attention with a long involved answer, posted here in the comments section of someone else's blog, if another source might already exist which could address the enquiries you are making. Might I ask if you've already examined my writings on this topic? I believe they will answer your questions. But if you've already perused them, my dear man, then perhaps I can attempt to explain things further."

But I also have to admit that they were about to single up the mooring lines at the moment that I was writing this, and I really needed to get onboard before they pulled the brow. So I wrote it in a bit of a rush.

Your boat is bigger than mine. I blog about you and other temporary departures.
