Ravenstahl Clocks
On issue after issue, the administration of Pittsburgh Interim Mayor Luke "Flip Flop" Ravenstahl -- as in Raven-stall -- has fallen behind. It's difficult to even keep up with all of the things that they have yet to take care of, have simply never responded to, or have failed to deliver after having promised to do so. Perhaps they simply are overwhelmed by the burden of governing our city, and haven't yet devised a system to keep track of everything they are supposed to accomplish. With this problem in mind, and as a public service for all citizens of Pittsburgh, I have created a few clocks to help our interim mayor keep track of just how far behind he is on some key issues.
Overdue on Removing Official City Photographs from Campaign Website:

If anybody has any other clocks that you would like to see displayed here, just leave a comment in response to this post. I'll keep adding new ones as people suggest them.
10 comments:
1. Require a meeting of a quorum of the Ethics Board
2. Implement Cost Recovery Program (since November, 2006)
3. Settle McNeilly Lawsuit (clock should've started ticking the day the suit was filed)
Admiral, by the time you're done, you'll be able to make it in Switzerland as a clock making genius...
Tick, tock, here are my entries:
1. Reaching fund raising goal for making the Pittsburgh Promise a reality for at least ONE year's worth of graduating h.s. students
2. Providing actual plans for his proposals, rather than just cribbing the cover sheets of Peduto's proposals - there's just not that much 'white-out' to go around...
3. Creating & implementing a plan for selling off the 11,000 liens he bought, which are still sitting there. This plan would include a process whereby one developer doesn't get to buy up the entire neighborhood to build a cinderblock apartment complex.
4. Leading the effort to sustain mass transit for the thousands of residents who live in HIS city & depend on PAT daily. Who's the Boss, Luke?
5. Taking a few precious minutes away from the next, empty shell of a photo opportunity, to actually learn the history & ramifications of the Mon Fayette Expressway
6. Paying for his own campaign materials. I'm not voting for him, why am I paying for this junk?
"3. Creating & implementing a plan for selling off the 11,000 liens he bought, which are still sitting there. This plan would include a process whereby one developer doesn't get to buy up the entire neighborhood to build a cinderblock apartment complex."
Why rush into that? That stuff takes time. I am dealing with projects that would benefit from those liens...it takes time.
"4. Leading the effort to sustain mass transit for the thousands of residents who live in HIS city & depend on PAT daily. Who's the Boss, Luke?"
It's not something that the city of Pittsburgh government can do about. PAT is a county item. Do you think that Luke doesn't care about that issue though?
Another Ravenstahl clock is needed for the walking of the South Side neighborhoods in the 'wee-hours' of the weekend. He said he do this on the bar bill town hall meeting. (I've got the video on my picassa site.)
Start the clock on March 9, 2006, at 11 pm.
Is the code for these clocks available? Are they in the public domain?
I'm going to be going to New Zealand in the future -- do you think I could get them on GMT too? Perhaps Luke will look better from the other side of the equator?
Perhaps it would be in bad taste to put a clock together that reminds Luke to feed his goldfish? Remember he was too busy as Mayor to feed it so he got rid of it. (gulp) Time heals all wounds. Perhaps the clock would read: days since the loss of Luke's pet goldfish.
I don't have the exact date marked on my calendar. Perhaps others here could to the research, please.
Luke must feel like he's in a 'fish tank.'
That should be the next rouge YouTube ad theme.
Overdue on the Council spending issue- specifically the Twanda Carlisle issue.
Mark... if you hover your mouse over one of the clocks, you should see the address where I got them, which is clocklink.com. Or you could just save the trouble of typing in the address by clicking here
You can always right click on a post and select 'view source' and up will pop all the html in a Notepad window for those do-it-yourselfers (or those copy-it-yourselfers to be more exact).
Luke did his Southside walk---take that clock down!
