New Ravenstahl Campaign Buttons!
From a rather industrious reader comes a number of tounge-in-cheek suggestions for new campaign buttons, all of which are in "support" of our incumbent Interim Mayor Luke "Flip Flop" Ravenstahl, and all of which build on Master Ravenstahl's current "I Like Luke" slogan. First, since it seems likely that Master Ravenstahl's high school history classes never quite made it into the mid-1950s before the end of the school year, the artist provides our young mayor with a bit of historical context about where his campaign slogan originally came from:
Next comes one which clearly seems to be inspired by the little nicknames that I have been known to ascribe to Interim Mayor Ravenstahl:
A third button draws it's inspiration from elsewhere in the burghosphere, and I know that I've personally read this slogan somewhere in the past few days. But at the moment, I don't recall precisely where:
The fourth button appears to capture the overall mood of the burghosphere quite well:
Fifth comes one which reminds us of all the fabulous benefits that Master Ravenstahl and his best friend have given us in such a short period of time:
And finally comes my personal favorite, which seems to have been custom-made just for Dennis Regan himself:
I would imagine that a "Hacks for Luke" button can't be too far behind, but that would be such a redundant statement that perhaps a button proclaiming such an obvious truth is unnecessary. It's rather like a button proclaiming that the rest of are "Humans for Oxygen".
I extend my hearty gratitude and fondest wishes toward the artist who sent these buttons to me, whom I have assumed wishes to remain anonymous.

I love those buttons."
It's nice to see people are on here pretending to be me now. I guess imitation is the best kind of flattery.
Those buttons aren't that funny. I suppose your still reeling from the sound butt whopping Mayor Luke put on Bill Peduto this weekend. What a great day it was. Too bad you weren't there Admiral when we announced that Luke won and the place went through the roof with cheering and applause. It was a great thing...
I doubt that I would have been too welcome there, since I'm not a member of the party. Or any party, for that matter. I don't really understand how anyone could look at what partisanship has done to this town and feel any other way, but to each his own, I guess.
If that comment's not really from you, Matt, I'll be happy to delete it, if you want me to.
Please do. The 1st ones are not from me.
I changed the way my name shows up now. If it doesn't show up like yours it's not me. Thanks.
No worries, Matt. And good idea establishing a blogger account that can validate your comments as being truly from yourself.
Thanks...people have seemed to have taken a liking to me so I am better off doing that.
How about "Fluke Reganstahl" with a diagonal slash through it?
It's a close call but i like "Fluke Reganstahl"
"Thugs for Luke" was good, but cleary a second choice.
And some one could write a song,"The Ballad of Fluke Reganstahl",sung by the New Christy Minstrels.
And Fox could have reality show just called "Fluke Reganstahl"
Where can I get a button,Admiral?
Thanks - thought that one up over Bloody Mary's - w/Grey Goose. Few more tips and I'm sure I can come up w/something better...
Ack! I've been bemoaning the fact that my inability to access Photoshop was preventing me from making real buttons myself for my own shop.
I belive I suggested "I puke Luke" over at Pittgirl and also had in mind an "I like Luke" with a "dis" scrawled between "I" and "like" and definitely one with "Fluke" in it.
This not having Photoshop is KILLING me. LOL
Nice buttons, though.
Kudos to the artist! :-)
I'm sorry. Those "I Don't Like Luke" buttons are definately the cream of the crop. And if he wins, they become great all-purpose protest-wear for the next X years. Someone manufacture these.
anon104..obviously you're a person of very discriminating tastes...
If anyone is interested in making the "Fluke Reganstahl" button or any other one you can do so:

Roll your own!
Sorry it didn't come through. Just google "image chef campaign button"
Cool link, BUT, that's how you can make an IMAGE of a button, to say, put on your blog.
It's not a template to make an actual button (to be used with a button-making machine or for use with stores like Cafe Press).
For that you need a 300 dpi res image; without the 3-D effects of shadows and highlights; and the image needs to be bigger than the actual button so that the colors can bleed off the sides of the buttons; and you also don't want it to be an RGB screen-type image unless you're printing it up off your own color printer and can adjust the colors.
But, again, it is a cool tool to use to create an image to use on a blog/website.

We're going to need a bigger button...
Reganzoberskrinjar...sounds like some kind of bavarian sausage!!
...or a really ugly monster...
Reganzoberskrinjar
I think that's the grisly ship made from the nails of dead men, which will be set free by the tsunami and flooding caused by Jörmungandr, and sent towards the battlefield of Vigrid, right before Ragnarok.
Or is it Thor's hammer? My Norse mythology is weak.
I guess you guys are bored...
You ARE registered to vote, though, aren't you Admiral??
You bet your sweet bippy I am!
Good man. Those that aren't or don't vote don't have the right to complain, in my opinion.
